The Radisson Collection hotel on the rocks at Granger Bay, with Table Mountain behind
Granger Bay, V&A Waterfront, Cape Town

On the Water's Edge

The Radisson Collection: the Atlantic beneath your window, and Table Mountain behind.

Most hotels in Cape Town look at the sea. This one sits in it.

The Radisson Collection stands on the rocks at Granger Bay, at the very edge of the Atlantic, beside a little private marina and a few minutes from the V&A Waterfront. You fall asleep to the sound of the waves breaking below, and wake to Table Mountain in the morning light.

It is a calm, easy place to begin a journey: close enough to walk to the harbour, Robben Island and the restaurants of the Waterfront, and far enough out on the water to feel like an escape. On the terrace at Tobago's, guests are sometimes treated to dolphins passing by. What they do is up to them.

Tobago's, above the waves

Breakfast, lunch and dinner on a terrace right over the sea, with a menu from Chef Grant Cullingworth and a good list of Cape wines. At sunset it is one of the loveliest places in the city for a glass of something.
